In Understanding the Science of Nanotechnology, students will learn about the scientific principals that form the foundation on which nanotechnologies are developed.
By the end of the unit, students will understand:
- Intermolecular forces including electromagnetic attraction
- Thermodynamics of self-assembling systems of particles
- Potential risks of some nanotechnology applications
- The structure of matter is directly related to function as seen at nanoscale level
This unit focuses on student's understanding of some of the most important principles of the science behind nanotechnology.
