Join Kendall Hunt and Illustrative Mathematics for a special virtual professional learning opportunity designed just for grades 3-5 teachers. Led by IM-Certified® trainers, this session is perfect for educators who are gaining familiarity with the problem-based lesson structure.
This session provides teachers with strategies for making instructional decisions during teaching and planning, based on the learning goals, in order to maintain pacing. The session builds on teachers’ understanding of the problem-based lesson structure developed in Teach & Learn. Teachers will gain an understanding of how the learning goals can help inform day-to-day choices to help with pacing in this flexible curriculum. In later sessions, they will build on this knowledge as they incorporate responding to student thinking, and using their growing understanding of math progressions.
This event will be limited to the first 25 attendees who sign up. After that, additional sign-ups will be added to a wait list in case any of the initial 25 attendees cannot attend. There is a minimum of 10 registrations per each grade band to run the event. If the minimum is not met, the event will be canceled. We will communicate with you if you have been added to the wait list or if there has been any cancelations.
