In this unit on measurement, students actively engage in the measurement process to connect their learning and new knowledge to their own personal worlds. As mathematicians, they measure objects in the classroom, at home, and even their own bodies. They make estimates, develop personal benchmarks, and focus on the accuracy and precision of measurement.
