Open educational resources offer a wide variety of tools to help students and teachers succeed in their classrooms. Kendall Hunt is proud to offer options like inquiryHub, OpenSciEd, and Illustrative Mathematics, where students can learn to achieve goals in the STEM field in the classroom. Each resource brings something new and exciting that makes learning accessible and affordable to all regardless of their learning environment.
inquiryHub focuses on high school biology and specifically the development of research-based materials that engage students of all backgrounds. These materials create a strong sense of equity for students as they take on new ideas and projects. The course offerings are available digitally, and in print, allowing ease of use.
OpenSciEd is a middle school science curriculum. OpenSciEd’s mission is to ensure that teachers have access to download and gain access to science-based lesson plans of the highest quality with print options available, as well. Units are based on varying grade levels ensuring that middle school science teachers can find relevant content they can in their classrooms.
Students in grades 6-8 and high school can access freely available digital math curriculum from Illustrative Mathematics. Full-color print teacher and student materials compliment the digital curriculum and Illustrative Mathematics has many helpful resources available within their Community Hub to ensure that teachers are well equipped in teaching their students at all levels. In addition to a number of distance learning options, they also provide family support to continue learning outside the classroom to further assist in student achievement.
We are proud to partner with these organizations to provide the resources and opportunities to unite students with the best quality curricula. Open educational resources create equity and encourage students to learn and succeed in a collaborative and cooperative way that can apply to other subjects throughout their academic careers.
