IM v.360

The IM® K–5 Math curriculum provides teachers with coherently sequenced materials based on the standards and research-based learning trajectories to support students’ learning in these early years. IM K–5 Math is rigorous, problem-based, and fully aligned to the standards, with coherence across grade bands.

New updates to K-5 Math:

•        New Language Learning Goals, End of Unit Guidance and Checklist Guidance
•         Optional Kindergarten number-writing lessons
•        Strengthened representations of diverse learners
•        Revisions to the Course Guide content, Instructional Routines, modeling lessons, centers, and blackline masters

New updates to 6-8 Math:

•        New Narrative Structures, Section-Level Assessments (checkpoints), Instructional Goals, and Teacher Reflection Questions.
•        Revised Embedded Math Language Routines, Section Goals, and 5 Practice Activities
•        Revised contexts that are more representative of diverse learners
•        The Which One Doesn’t Belong routine is now Which Three Go Together.
•        Activity-level Anticipated Misconceptions is now Building On Student Thinking.
•        Revised lesson contexts to align with the drafted California framework including environmentally focused contexts

IM® 9–12 Math offers two comprehensive high school math pathways, both designed to foster deep mathematical understanding through a problem-based learning approach. The Traditional Pathway follows the standard Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 (AGA) sequence, with additional supports specifically tailored for Algebra 1. In contrast, the Integrated Pathway weaves together algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics across three integrated courses, allowing students to engage with interconnected mathematical concepts throughout their high school journey.
