IM TK Math Students:
IMKH California 6–8 Math is a problem-based core curriculum rooted in content and practice standards to foster learning and achievement for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language. Teachers can shift their instruction and facilitate student learning with high-leverage routines that guide them in understanding and making connections between concepts and procedures.
The lessons are designed with a focus on independent, group, and whole-class instruction. This format builds mathematical understanding and fluency for all students. Teachers will also use Warm-ups and Cool-downs to help guide lesson pacing and planning.
IMKH California 9-12 Math provides two comprehensive high school math pathways, each designed to build deep mathematical understanding through problem-based learning:
Traditional Pathway – Follows the Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 (AGA) sequence with extra supports for Algebra 1.
Integrated Pathway – Combines algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics throughout three courses.
Students continue to explore math through real-world problem-solving, discussion, and discovery. Teachers use high-leverage routines to help them connect concepts and build understanding. The lessons blend independent, group, and whole-class activities to develop fluency and confidence, while Warm-ups and Cool-downs support pacing and reinforce key ideas.
