The tide never rolls in quite the same way twice. Each swelling of the waves takes with it a little bit of the earth and leaves a little bit behind on the shore. In the same way, none of us arrives in quite the same world—and none of us leaves it unchanged. In Autobiographies and Memoirs, we will explore the unique ways in which each of us experiences the world. How do we each transform it into a place that is a little bit different—and completely our own?
The Student Literature Workbook
OpenSciEd Middle School science program addresses all middle school NGSS standards. This comprehensive science curriculum empowers students to question, design, investigate, and solve the world around them.
In this unit, students explore our numeration system in depth. Students begin by looking at patterns in our system and then work with other systems to help discover what constitutes a place-value system and a base system. By analyzing the structure of each system and comparing and contrasting different numeration systems, they will gain a deeper understanding of place value and bases and be able to justify why our system is both a place-value system and a base system.
Not a traditional textbook - the Minds On Physics Student Activities Book is comprised of two parts: Activities and the Reader. The Activities form an integrated set of thoughtful engagements for students, and the Reader organizes and summarizes the ideas of the physics content and is meant to be read after students have engaged in associated activities.
