Bartholomew Consolidated (IN) recently created a one-semester math course for students who had successfully completed Algebra 2 that did not wish to take standard precalculus. This course covers traditional high school trigonometry topics without the same level of abstraction as a precalculus course.
Kern High School District in Bakersfield, California, delayed adopting new Algebra curriculum longer than most districts because they wanted to see what curriculum would be available for new standards and practices. They agreed they wanted something different than what they were using previously.

A former middle school math teacher, Danielle is a mother to five children 9 years old and under. She used Project M3: Mentoring Mathematical Minds Unraveling the Mystery of the MoLi Stone with her second and fourth graders who are both in third grade math. “The activities are very engaging,” Danielle said.

More than ever, the importance of STEM education is becoming more and more apparent in today’s ever changing world. According to the U.S. department of Commerce, careers in STEM are growing extremely quickly at 17% from 2008 to 2018 compared to other careers growing at a rate of 9.8%.
